Patiala: Auto driver arrested for raping 12 year old girl
A case of rape of a 5th class girl by an auto driver has come to light. The incident came to light when the girl became pregnant. Bakshiwala police station has registered a case against the accused auto driver under the POCSO Act and arrested him. According to the police, the 12-year-old girl who studies in 5th class used to go to school in the accused’s auto. The accused left the rest of the children in their homes and took this girl alone in the auto to a deserted plot near Khalsa Nagar and kept raping her. The accused auto driver was raping the girl for the last one year. Now when the girl became 5 months pregnant, the parents got suspicious and when she was checked by a doctor, the matter was revealed.
When the girl informed her parents about this entire incident, this migrant family immediately informed the police and registered a case against the accused auto driver. Currently, the girl has been admitted to the hospital and the accused auto driver has been arrested by the police.
