Anti Dengue drive starts by Health Dept.Patiala

Patiala 3 May ( ) Health departemnt continued its weekly anti dengue grive as” friday dryday” campaign and inspected around 26411 houses where larva was found in 28 no. of places.Important areas in urban patiala where larva was found were prem nagar, ghandhi nagar, karkhas colony, khalsa mohalla,virk colony and dheeru ki majri. Distt. Epidemiologist Dr. Sumeet told that to further strengthen the control activities distt administration has instructed PUDA and improvement trust to also take anti mosquito measures in their jurisdiction areas alongwith municipal corporation and health department. Health department has started training staff of these organisations. He also told that health department will maintain a close liason with all these departments to cover high risk areas on priority basis. In this regard meetings are being held regularly with these departments. Civil Surgeon Patiala Dr. Manjit Singh again reinforced that without public cooperartion this will be a challenge as larva is being detected already at various colonies.
