Hears grievances of farmers and labourers facing unnecessary hassle

Assures them of full support from her family and Jatt Mahasabha

Meets DC Fatehgarh Sahib to raise the issues faced by farmers in Sirhind Mandi

Fatehgarh, 13 October
Jai Inder Kaur President of Jatt Mahasabha, Punjab women wing and daughter of Ex CM Captain Amarinder Singh & Preneet Kaur today visited Mandis (Grain Market) of Sirhind and Khanna to hear the grievances of farmers.

Talking to the media after her visit to the Khanna mandi, Jai Inder Kaur said, “From last few days we had been getting complaints from all over Punjab that procurement process wasn’t going well and farmers are facing hassle in the Mandis. Today after visiting both Sirhind and Khanna Mandis I can confirm that the procurement process is going very slowly and farmers are truly unhappy with that.”

She continued, “Already farmers are facing a lot of pain due to China Virus that has destroyed crops of many of our Anndatas and now incessant rains have also caused the yield to lessen a lot. But instead of helping out our farmers the Bhagwant Mann government has left them on their own, not even procuring the produce that has already arrived in the Mandis.”

She requested the Punjab government to help out the farmers saying, “I urge the Bhagwant Mann led Punjab government to provide compensation to our farmers who have suffered huge losses due to China Virus, shrivelled grains and lessened yield.”

Jai Inder Kaur also met with Fatehgarh Sahib DC Parneet Shergill and raised the issues being faced by farmers in Sirhind Mandi.

Talking about stubble burning Jai Inder Kaur said, “Farmers have also informed me that they haven’t received any stubble management machines from the government and neither any compensation has been fixed by the government and if out of compulsion they burn stubble then the administration is red listing them, which is totally unfair. I have assured them of the full support of Jatt Mahasabha and also my family and I will also urge my father to take up this matter with the Central government.”

Launching a scathing attack on the AAP government she said, “Now the seriousness of this govt towards farmers can be gauged by the fact that rains, bad weather and slow lifting is causing a lot of trouble in the procurement process and the CM and his all MLAs, ministers are uninterested in all this and are focusing all their time campaigning in Gujrat. Even our Anndatas have been forced to sit on protest against the CM outside his house for their demands and Bhagwant Mann isn’t listening to them.”

Talking about the Captain Government she said, “Everyone knows that during Capt govt farming was his number one priority and the farmers never had to sit on protests ever like this. Even during Covid times Captain Saab personally monitored the procurement process and ensured that procurement process went on smoothly.”

ਸਰਹਿੰਦ ਮੰਡੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਪੇਸ਼ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਠਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਡੀਸੀ ਫਤਿਹਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਿਲੇ

ਜਾਟ ਮਹਾਂਸਭਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਵਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜੈ ਇੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸਪੁੱਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲਾਂ ਸੁਣਨ ਲਈ ਸਰਹਿੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਖੰਨਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ (ਅਨਾਜ ਮੰਡੀ) ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਖੰਨਾ ਮੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਦੌਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਜੈ ਇੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਰ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਖਰੀਦ ਪ੍ਰਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਠੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਸਰਹਿੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਖੰਨਾ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਖਰੀਦ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੌਲੀ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਨਾਖੁਸ਼ ਹਨ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਚਾਈਨਾ ਵਾਇਰਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁੱਖ ਝੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਅੰਨਦਾਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਫਸਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਮੀਂਹ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਝਾੜ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਘੱਟ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਾਸ਼ੀਏ ‘ਤੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁੱਜ ਰਹੀ ਫਸਲ ਦੀ ਖਰੀਦ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਆਵਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਚਾਈਨਾ ਵਾਇਰਸ, ਸੁੰਗੜਦੇ ਅਨਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਘੱਟ ਝਾੜ ਕਾਰਨ ਭਾਰੀ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।”

ਜੈ ਇੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਸਰਹਿੰਦ ਮੰਡੀ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਫ਼ਤਹਿਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਪਰਨੀਤ ਸ਼ੇਰਗਿੱਲ ਕੋਲ ਵੀ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਲਦ ਤੋਂ ਜਲਦ ਹੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਪਰਾਲੀ ਸਾੜਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਜੈ ਇੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਮਸ਼ੀਨ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਮੁਆਵਜ਼ਾ ਤੈਅ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਮਜਬੂਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਸਾੜਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੈਡ ਲਿਸਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਇਨਸਾਫੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਟ ਮਹਾਸਭਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਕੋਲ ਉਠਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰਾਂਗੀ।”

ਆਪ’ ਸਰਕਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਤਿੱਖਾ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਗੰਭੀਰਤਾ ਦਾ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੀਂਹ, ਖਰਾਬ ਮੌਸਮ ਕਾਰਨ ਖਰੀਦ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ‘ਚ ਭਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਕਤ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਇਸ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ‘ਤੇ ਲਗਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਅੰਨਦਾਤਾ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਲਈ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਧਰਨੇ ‘ਤੇ ਬੈਠਣ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

ਕੈਪਟਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਖੇਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਧਰਨੇ ‘ਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੈਠਣਾ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ।”

ਜੈ ਇੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਟ ਮਹਾਂਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਮੀਤ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਢੀਂਡਸਾ, ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਆਗੂ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੱਟੀ, ਕੰਵਰਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਟੌਹੜਾ, ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੱਟੀ, ਪ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਲੇਵਾਲ, ਮੇਅਰ ਸੰਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਬਿੱਟੂ, ਕੇ ਕੇ ਮਲਹੋਤਰਾ, ਡਾ: ਦੀਪਕ ਜੋਤੀ, ਰਾਣੀ ਰਮਣੀਕ, ਗਗਨ ਸ਼ੇਰਗਿੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਇਕਬਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੰਨੀ ਆਦਿ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
