MP PATIALA PRENEET KAUR RAKES UP FARMERS ISSUE IN PARLIAMENT
Member Parliament from Patiala Preneet Kaur raked up the issue of unfulfilled demands of farmers in Lok Sabha today.
Speaking during the hearing of ‘Matters of Urgent Importance’ the Patiala MP said, “Today I stand before the house to raise the issue of unfulfilled demands of our farmers that were promised to them by the central government last year. Last year our farmers had withdrawn their protest after written assurances by the Central government and the ministry of Agriculture that all of their demands will be met soon, but even after the passing of 12 months most of the demands still remain unfulfilled.”
Further detailing the demands the Patiala MP said, “The first and foremost demand of the farmers is regarding MSP. Based on the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission, a law should be enacted guaranteeing a minimum support price and procurement for all crops as per the C2 + 50% formula. A new MSP committee should be immediately formed for this and it should include farmers & the representatives of Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM).”
Preneet Kaur further demanded that, “Keeping in mind the current financial situation of our farmers the central government should waive off all farm loans and also implement a new comprehensive & effective crop insurance scheme as many crops are damaged every year due to changing climate, drought, floods etc.”
The Patiala MP also raised the issue of the Electricity Amendment Bill 2022 saying, “The central government should review the already tabled Electricity Amendment Bill as it had promised last year that it will be only brought forward after thorough discussion with the farmers, which sadly hasn’t happened yet.”
Preneet Kaur ended her speech by demanding the withdrawal of police cases saying, “I also urge the central government to withdraw criminal cases filed against the 4 farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri and also withdraw all the other cases that were filed against our Anndatas during the farmer’s agitation in Delhi.”

ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਫਸਲਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਮੁੱਲ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ, ਬਿਜਲੀ ਸੋਧ ਬਿੱਲ ਦੀ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ, ਨਵੀਂ ਫਸਲ ਬੀਮਾ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਸਮੇਤ ਹੋਰ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ

ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਤੋਂ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਪ੍ਰਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਧੂਰੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਦਾ ਉਠਾਇਆ।
‘ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਮਹੱਤਵ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ’ ਦੀ ਸੁਣਵਾਈ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਬੋਲਦਿਆਂ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਅੱਜ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਦਾ ਉਠਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਦਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖੜੀ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਅਧੂਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਸਾਡੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਲਦੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਲਿਖਤੀ ਭਰੋਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਪਣਾ ਧਰਨਾ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਪਰ 12 ਮਹੀਨੇ ਬੀਤ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ।”
ਮੰਗਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਗ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਮੁੱਲ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੈ। ਸਵਾਮੀਨਾਥਨ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਫ਼ਾਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸੀ-2 +50% ਫਾਰਮੂਲਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਫ਼ਸਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਮੁੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਖਰੀਦ ਦੀ ਗਰੰਟੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸਦੇ ਲਈ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਇੱਕ ਨਵੀਂ MSP ਕਮੇਟੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਜਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਮੋਰਚਾ (SKM) ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।”
ਪ੍ਰਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ, “ਸਾਡੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਿਸਾਨੀ ਕਰਜ਼ੇ ਮੁਆਫ਼ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਫਸਲ ਬੀਮਾ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਵੀ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਬਦਲਦੇ ਮੌਸਮ, ਸੋਕੇ, ਹੜ੍ਹ ਆਦਿ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਫਸਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।”
ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਨੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਸੋਧ ਬਿੱਲ 2022 ਦਾ ਮੁੱਦਾ ਵੀ ਉਠਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਸੋਧ ਬਿੱਲ ਦੀ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਵਟਾਂਦਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ।”
ਪ੍ਰਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕੇਸ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈਣ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਸਮਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਲਖੀਮਪੁਰ ਖੇੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ 4 ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਕੇਸ ਵਾਪਸ ਲਏ ਜਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਾਡੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਅੰਨਦਾਤਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੇਸ ਵੀ ਵਾਪਸ ਲਏ ਜਾਣ।”
