Patiala News:Interesting competitions took place on the first day of the block level games of the Sports Homeland Punjab.

The Sports Department of Patiala today inaugurated the block level games under the Patiala Games Watan Punjab 2026, during which interesting competitions were held on the first day.

On the first day, block level games are being organized in four blocks of Patiala – Patiala Urban, Patiala Rural, Rajpura and Nabha. In which athletics, football, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, volleyball shooting and volleyball smashing games are being organized in different age groups.

Giving information about these games, District Sports Officer, Navjot Singh Dhaliwal said that at the beginning of the block level games, the Games of the Homeland Punjab 2026 (Block) of the Block Patiala Urban was inaugurated by MLA Patiala Urban Ajitpal Singh Kohli, while the Block Games of the Block Patiala Rural were inaugurated by Youth Leader Advocate Rahul Singh.

In the football game in Patiala Rural Block, the Azad Football Club team emerged victorious by defeating The Millennium School team in the Under-14 boys category with a score of 0/4.

In the Athletics Game Long Jump Under-17 Boys in Rajpura Block, Jaskarnjot Singh got the first place, Guransh Singh got the second place, Prabhsahai got the third place and Agam got the fourth place. Similarly, in the Under-17 Kabaddi Boys, Government School Dhumman defeated Guru Ramdas Basantapura. Similarly, in the Under-14 Boys, S.D. Public School defeated Guru Ramdas Basantapura and won a great victory. In the Football Game Under-14 Boys and Girls, Sri Chetanya School Rajpura won. In the Volleyball Game Under-17 Aadharshila Fountain Public School team stood first. In the Kho-Kho Under-14 Boys, Pepsu Stadium Rajpura won.

In Patiala Rural Block, Ayushpal and Jaspreet Singh secured the first and second positions in the 400 meter men’s age group 21-30 in the athletics game. Similarly, Sarabjit Singh secured the first position in the 31-40 age group and Manpreet Singh secured the first position in the 41-50 age group.

In the Kabaddi game under-14 boys in Nabha block, the team of Government Senior Secondary School Dhingi secured the first position, while the team of High School Achal secured the second position. Similarly, in the volleyball game under-14 girls, the team of Kalgidhar Mungo secured the first position and the team of Coaching Center Nabha secured the second position.
