PSTET 2023: 2 GNDU professors suspended
A day after the Punjab State Teachers Eligibility Test (PSTET)-2023 was conducted amid allegations that correct answers for many multiple choice questions in one paper were highlighted in bold font, the state government Monday cancelled the examination and ordered a high-level probe into the matter.
The Education Minister said to maintain fairness in the examination process, a principal secretary-level probe had been ordered to find out how the mistake took place in the exam conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU).
The ‘guilty’, identified as Professor Dr Hardeep Singh, Department of Computer Science, and Professor Dr Ravinder Singh Sawhney, Department of Electronics Technology, have been placed under suspension.
