Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital, a part of Desh Bhagat University, enthusiastically commemorated World Oral Health Day. The event witnessed active participation from BDS students across all professional years, interns, and postgraduates who engaged in various competitions and activities including Slogan Writing, E-Posters, and a Selfie Booth.

The celebration commenced with a Cake Cutting Ceremony graced by the esteemed Vice-President of DBU, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti. Dr. Sadawarti shared words of encouragement and wisdom, emphasizing the pivotal role of oral health in the professional domain. A formal vote of thanks was extended by Principal Dr. Unnati Pitale, concluding the program on a high note.

Lecture on Dental Ethics & Code of Conduct organized:

In another event, a special lecture on “Dental Ethics and Code of Conduct” was organized for first-year BDS students. Dr. Ravneet Malhi, Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health Dentistry, delivered an insightful discourse on professional ethics and conduct essential for aspiring dentists. The lecture aimed to instil values of integrity and patient welfare among budding dental professionals.

Anti-Ragging Lecture:

Furthermore, DBD College and Hospital demonstrated its commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment by organizing an Anti-Ragging Programme. Dr. Sunil Malhan, Professor and Head of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontic, elucidated the detrimental effects of ragging and guided staying clear of such practices. Chief Guest Dr. Unnati Pitale reiterated the institution’s stance against ragging, emphasizing the importance of a harmonious academic atmosphere.
