Psycho-fest 2024: A Celebration of Creativity and Insight

Desh Bhagat University’s the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages recently hosted Psycho-fest 2024, an enthralling event that brought together students to showcase their talents and insights through model displaying and poster making competitions. The fest proved to be a captivating journey through the diverse realms of psychology, exploring themes ranging from cognitive processes to mental health.

Dr. Virinder Singh, advisor to chancellor, inaugurated the event, emphasizing its significance in providing a platform for students to express their creativity amidst the challenges of academic stress. Social Sciences and Languages Director, Dr. Devinder Kumar, lauded Psycho-fest 2024 as a celebration of human intellect and creativity. He commended the winners of the model displaying competition-Arshdeep Kaur, Manjeet Kumar Singh (1st place); Harpreet Kaur, Manpreet Dhiman, Gudiya Rani (2nd place); Munasha Manwire, Mahak Gupta (3rd place)—for their innovative interpretations of psychological theories.

The poster making competition was equally engaging, with students using visual art to articulate complex psychological concepts. The posters sparked thought-provoking discussions and reflections, resonating with the audience. Noteworthy attendees included Mrs. Dilpreet Kaur and Mrs. Gurwinder Kaur from the Faculty of Nursing, adding depth to the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas.
