Uparla made a great effort to nurture the talent of children and women: Dr. Tajinder Kaur

Uprala, a venture organization dedicated to empowering farmers and providing home-based employment, recently organized a vibrant program at the Community Center in Sector 69, Mohali, to celebrate Baisakhi Day. The event focused on nurturing the talent of needy school children and women from marginalized communities.

 

Over 500 school children participated in a variety of competitions including dance, drawing, and poetry over the course of two days. Uprala ensured that entry was free for government school children, allowing them to showcase their skills and creativity.

 

The program was graced by esteemed guests, including Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, and actress Jasmin Menu, who encouraged the participants and added to the festive spirit with their presence. Notable personalities such as Dhir, Amrit Kaur Hundal, and Ranveer Kaur Brar also participated actively, contributing to the event’s success.

 

Dr. Tejinder Kaur, in her address, commended Uprala’s efforts in providing a platform for marginalized children and women to develop their talents. She emphasized the importance of continued programs to enhance the skills of such individuals, applauding Uprala’s commitment to social welfare.

 

The participants were not only treated to refreshments but also received stationery, certificates, and prizes. Cash awards and trophies worth Rs. 5100, Rs. 3100, and Rs. 1100 were presented to the winners, encouraging them to further hone their talents.

 

The success of the event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of Uprala’s core members, including Gurjit Kaur, Girlgan Kaur, Gurdamanpreet Kaur, and others, who ensured a memorable experience for all involved.

 

Veerinder Kaur Sindhar, the head of Uprala, expressed gratitude to the guests and pledged ongoing support for needy school children and women in their journey towards empowerment.
