Patiala school receives a bomb threat,emails trigger panic

Patiala (Punjab), December 23, 2025:

Panic prevailed in Patiala on Tuesday after bomb threat emails were received by several schools in the city. The district police and administration responded promptly to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Sources revealed that the threatening emails were received in the morning hours, warning of possible bomb explosions on school premises between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The messages caused concern among school authorities, parents, and students.

Police teams, along with bomb disposal squads, were immediately deployed to the affected schools. SSP Patiala Varun Sharma personally visited Ryan Public School to review the situation and interact with the school management.

SSP Varun Sharma stated that upon receiving the information, the concerned SHO reached the spot without delay and the bomb disposal squad was called in to conduct a thorough search of the premises. At around 10:00 a.m., one school officially received a bomb threat email, following which precautionary measures were taken and the campus was secured.
