Punjab Vigilance Department’s Statement on suspension of SSP Vigilance Bureau, Amritsar
Chandigarh, 27 December 2025:
An internal complaint has been received regarding the concerned officer. In response, appropriate disciplinary action has been initiated.
Lakhbir Singh, PPS, who was previously posted as SSP, Vigilance Bureau, Amritsar, has been placed under suspension for unauthorised interference in matters outside his official domain. As per the orders, during the suspension period, his headquarters will be the office of the Director General of Police, Punjab, Chandigarh.
Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated, and the matter is being examined in depth in accordance with established procedures.
