Patiala News: Fourth Military Literature Festival in Patiala from today

– Deputy Commissioner extends open invitation to all Patiala residents to attend Khalsa College

Patiala, February 11:

 

The two-day Military Literature Festival, which is going to be held for the fourth time in Patiala under the Patiala Heritage Festival, will be organized at Khalsa College on February 12 at 10 am. Deputy Commissioner Virjit Walia has extended an open invitation to all the residents of Patiala district to enjoy this Military Literature Festival. Meanwhile, the nodal officer of this festival, ADC (Urban Development) Dr. Ismat Vijay Singh and RTO Babandeep Singh Walia visited Khalsa College and reviewed the final touches being given to the preparations.

 

The Deputy Commissioner said that the Military Literature Festival, organized by the District Administration in collaboration with the Military Literature Festival Association, Lieutenant General (Retd.) Chetinder Singh, AVSM, SM, VSM, will be inaugurated by Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh. He said that this festival will prove to be a very educational fair for students and the general public.

 

He said that on this occasion, a panel discussion, a talk on passion, energy and bravery, an exhibition of military equipment, honoring brave women, warrior dance, garland offering and a brave-heart motorcycle rally, archery exhibition and competition, counseling on army, ITBP and police recruitment and a food court have also been set up at Khalsa College.

 

Varjit Walia said that as per the announcement made by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Patiala district administration has taken a special initiative to organize this Military Literature Festival, which will help in making the youth aware of the rich heritage of the armed forces and instill in them the spirit of joining the army.
