Patiala News:Residents of Patran and Ghagga will also get clean drinking canal water – Kulwant Singh Bazigar

-Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board Chairman Sunny Singh Ahluwalia and MLA Kulwant Singh Bazigar launched the construction of a water purification plant at a cost of Rs 31.77 crore at Ghagga.

-The 11 MLD capacity plant to be built under the Amrut-2 scheme will be completed in 18 months

Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board Chairman Sunny Singh Ahluwalia and Shutrana MLA Kulwant Singh Bazigar inaugurated the construction of a water purification plant at Ghagga at a cost of Rs 31.77 crore under the Amrut-2 scheme to provide clean drinking canal water to the residents of Patran and Ghagga city.

On this occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh Bazigar said that the Bhagwant Mann government has fulfilled the decades-old demand of the residents of Ghagga and Patran. He said that with the completion of this project, the residents of both the cities will be provided with clean and quality drinking water, which will provide great convenience to the people. He thanked the Punjab Government, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board Chairman Sunny Singh Ahluwalia for approving and implementing this important project.

Chairman Sunny Singh Ahluwalia said that water for this water purification plant will be taken from Karamgarh Link. He said that this plant with a capacity of 11 MLD has been targeted to be completed within 18 months. He said that after the completion of the project, it will help in providing clean canal water supply to the residents of Patran and Ghagga city.

Sunny Ahluwalia said that the Punjab government is giving priority to projects required to provide basic amenities to the people and meet the drinking water needs. He also asked the concerned officers to complete the project work within the stipulated time frame as per the quality standards.
