Chairman Tejinder Mehta Gets 55 Street Lights Switched On by Party Worker

The main road of Tez Bagh Colony, from Badi Nadi to Chhoti Nadi, will now remain illuminated at night. As many as 55 new street lights have been installed on the main road of the area with funds from Patiala Municipal Corporation. The lights were switched on by Rajat Goyal, a youth leader of the party and member of the Trade Commission, at the initiative of District Planning Committee Chairman Tejinder Mehta.

Tejinder Mehta said that, continuing his tradition of honouring party workers and involving them in development works, he chose to have the inauguration carried out by party youth leader Rajat Goyal instead of doing it himself. He said that he has previously got various development works inaugurated by party workers and members of the public and will continue this tradition in the future as well.

He said that as a result of his consistent efforts as MC from Ward No. 34, 55 new street lights could be installed on the main road of Tez Bagh Colony. The lights will keep the area illuminated at night, improving convenience for commuters as well as safety in the area.

Chairman Tejinder Mehta said that under the vision of Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, development and public welfare works are being continuously given priority in Punjab. He said that the government and the Municipal Corporation are ensuring that works related to basic public amenities are taken up on priority.

Tejinder Mehta specially thanked Mayor Kundan Gogia for getting these street lights installed through funds of Patiala Municipal Corporation. The residents of the area expressed happiness over the installation of 55 new street lights on the main road and thanked Tejinder Mehta.
