Patiala News:State Public Health Observer Team inspects health programs

The District Health Department team is always ready to provide better health facilities – Civil Surgeon

Under the leadership of Civil Surgeon Patiala Dr. Shelly Jaitley, the State Public Health Observer Team of National Center for Disease Control Dr. Kapil Goyal and Dr. Abdul Basith KM visited the district to review and inspect various public health programs being run in Patiala district.

During this visit, the team reviewed the performance of various health programs including Integrated Disease Surveillance Program , Vaccine Preventable Diseases , National One Health Program for Prevention and Control of Zoonotic Diseases , National Rabies Control Program , Program for Prevention and Control of Leptospirosis , National Program for Prevention and Control of Poisonous Effects of Snakebite , National Program on Climate Change and Human Health , Antimicrobial Resistance and Disaster Management Cell . During this three-day visit, the team visited District Hospital Mata Kaushalya Hospital and Primary Health Center Kauli , Government Medical College , Rajindra Hospital , Patiala.

On this occasion, the members of the state team said that the main objective of this inspection was to review the implementation of various public health programs , disease surveillance and reporting system , prevention and control activities and performance of health services. The grading of which will be sent by the state. They said that under the leadership of Civil Surgeon Dr. Shelly Jaitley, the district health department has effectively implemented public health programs , the efforts being made for timely identification and prevention of diseases and providing better health services to the people are commendable. On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Patiala Dr. Shelly Jaitley said that the suggestions given by the team for more effective implementation of the programs by the State Public Health Observer Team will be incorporated and the team of the District Health Department Patiala is always ready to provide better health facilities to the common people. On this occasion, the team was accompanied by Dr. Gurpreet Kaur Epidemiologist , Dr. Divjot Singh Epidemiologist and others.
